Romanian M74 Gasmask
A licensed copy of the German post-war M65 mask made in olive green white ample eyepieces, the M74 hits the right notes in both looking cool and being an effective design. The generous head straps make it easy to adjust and make extremely comfortable to wear for long periods. In fact with the head straps being so long and the mask being flexible, even the small size can fit most normal size 2 wearers. This mask also features a nasal cup to prevent fogging. This mask although partial replaced by the M85 is actually in use still to this day! Another oddity of note is that these masks are actually threaded with 40mm NATO threads. Meaning that the FP5 filters that we stock thread and seal extremely well! Speaking of filters.. DO NOT USE the filters that are included for anything beyond display. They are made during the cold war and contain either asbestos, chromium or some other horrible chemical that when it degrades will kill you dead. The FP5 is an inexpensive and safe alternative, or get some brand new filters if you’d rather, just be safe.
These masks are in NOS (New Old Stock) condition and appear completely unused. Except some slight discoloration due to storage, but generally speaking these masks look exactly how they did when they were first made!
